I only hope it can be accomplished peacefully.JdLnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32869165.post-1247860920880849112012-12-28T03:26:46.715-07:002012-12-28T03:26:46.715-07:00Once I saw jury duty as something to be avoided. ...Once I saw jury duty as something to be avoided. What's even rarer is that it was a DUI case involving driving after smoking pot and I joined the majority of the panel in raising my hand when the prosecutor asked which among us supported legalizing pot. They let me on and I was foreman. The prosecution failed to prove its case which meant that I didn't even have to argue nullification. It failed because the cops got up on the stand and lied about how the guy was driving before the stop. They also lied about the guy telling them that he had just had surgery on his ear (which caused balance problems) and that he would have problems with the sobriety test. The defendant admitted smoking pot, but the cops failed to prove that it effected his driving (essential element). They also lied. The jury acquitted. All them also agreed with me that most of us middle aged people couldn't pass the sobriety test stone cold sober. So, don't try to get off juries. Get on one and you will find that you will only have to argue a deficit of evidence and not nullification.Jerri Lynn Wardnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32869165.post-12817830630915195352012-12-27T13:32:47.728-07:002012-12-27T13:32:47.728-07:00Sociopaths: this is the only word ,to use when des...Sociopaths: this is the only word ,to use when describing All, and I do mean all!!! [Every one of them] for the brain dead educated reader. Attorneys at law, they practice, because the Law and justice are the last thing they know. To be a barred attorney ,you must learn to defend the guilty and convict the not guilty and think of it, only in regard to a job for money. A means to an end for you, Oh unless you can find a cause that will make you more money. To look as though you are helping undo wrongs that you know the system is in place to bring about. You can make a real [good] name for yourself, under the guise of "helping" just look at the the ACLU. We need to understand ALL lawyers are officers of the courts they work for, they are the new priesthood, and above all law this now has entered into all the public officials, arena ,as well welcome to, The New World OrderAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32869165.post-9626330033074485642012-12-27T12:41:11.263-07:002012-12-27T12:41:11.263-07:00The contrast between the questions a statist expec...The contrast between the questions a statist expects you

1)not to ask him,

and

2)you to think of and answer for him (even though he never thought to ask them)

sums the critters up.
Luton Iannoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-32869165.post-34735084296820145952012-12-27T03:50:34.771-07:002012-12-27T03:50:34.771-07:00First of all the very act of being forced to atten...First of all the very act of being forced to attend "jury duty" irks me to no end. I've been on a murder trial and also a drugs and rape trial both times as the lucky "juror number 12". The second trial was a farce that involved a man who'd already spent time in the big house for a charge of forcible rape and drugs possession. That one seemed to mutate before my very eyes to the point I no longer knew why I was there. And to get twelve altogether unhappy people to agree on anything is like herding cats. To this day I knew that one was screwed up and I only wish I knew then what I know today and I'd have voted against the boilerplate lies that were fed to me.MoTnoreply@blogger.com
